[CARLICountsCohortFour] Please read: preparation for March immersive CARLI Counts

Happy Monday all!

As promised, your invitation to join the CARLI Counts Canvas learning management system site will be arriving in your inbox shortly. Please take time to login immediately to ensure that your account is functional and let me know (abcraig at uillinois.edu<mailto:abcraig at uillinois.edu>) if you have any challenges.

Once you login, you will also see that you have pre-work before the March immersive meeting from Lisa Hinchliffe, CARLI Counts instructor/facilitator. Specifically:

  *   Most immediately, please take the pre-survey by end of day March 11 (note - Canvas labels this a quiz ... it's not a quiz!). The results of this survey help us understand the overall familiarity and experience with using data about the impact of academic libraries on student success for service development and library advocacy. The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete. The results will help us support your participation. All responses to this and other CARLI Counts surveys are kept confidential. The results will be reported in aggregate form only, and individuals will not be identified. If you have any questions about the pre-survey, contact Lisa Hinchliffe (ljanicke at illinois.edu<mailto:ljanicke at illinois.edu>).
  *   Introduce yourself in the Introductions Forum.
  *   After you take the survey, you will have access to the readings to complete before the March meeting. The full text for all the readings is provided online and there are also questions that will help you focus on the purpose of the reading relative to CARLI Counts. Please complete all readings before you arrive on March 28. If you have any questions about the readings, contact Lisa Hinchliffe (ljanicke at illinois.edu<mailto:ljanicke at illinois.edu>).
  *   You will also need to review your institution's application to participate in CARLI Counts, so you are prepared to talk about it with your team. If you do not have a copy, email me (abcraig at uillinois.edu<mailto:abcraig at uillinois.edu>) and I will send it to you.
You will also find several other resources in Canvas including a detailed agenda for the March session, a "syllabus" for the entire year of CARLI Counts, and support documentation for Canvas.
