Hi all,

Elaine and Craig, if you'd like to serve again, please make sure to fill out the volunteer form. The current membership list with terms is here<https://www.carli.illinois.edu/governance/committee-directory/comm?comm_id=67&constit=no&dates=yes>.
Thanks!

Subject: <Announce> Call for CARLI Committee Volunteers
CARLI is seeking volunteers to serve on advisory committees. Volunteers chosen will serve a three-year term, July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2026. CARLI is also seeking volunteers to serve on a new Archives Task Force as approved by the CARLI Board at their March 10 meeting. The initial term of the task force will be one year; terms may be extended as needed to complete their work. The application period will close on May 5 at 5:00 p.m. Faculty and staff members from all CARLI member libraries, with all levels of experience, are encouraged to apply.
Service on CARLI committees and task forces affords individuals a unique opportunity to use their experience and expertise to help shape the future of the consortium and its services. You can find more information including the committee charge from the committee directory<https://www.carli.illinois.edu/governance/committee-directory>.
To volunteer, please complete the volunteer form<https://www.carli.illinois.edu/governance/volunteer> by May 5. To be considered for appointment, you must fill out this online form even if you have previously submitted a form, or if you are a current committee member whose term is expiring and you wish to be considered again. CARLI seeks to include as many individuals and institutions as possible in committee service, so committee rosters<https://www.carli.illinois.edu/governance/committee-directory> are limited to one person from any institution. Committee members are not routinely reappointed.
Forms submitted by May 5 will be considered for initial FY 2024 appointments. The list of all volunteers will be retained until March 1, 2024 and will be used to fill vacancies if they occur.
Individuals accepting appointments to CARLI committees and task forces are expected to participate fully and actively in the work of the committee, including regular attendance at meetings and committee-sponsored events held throughout the calendar year. CARLI makes every effort to conduct the majority of each group's business by web conferencing or via conference calls. However, service may require time and/or travel expenses for one or more in-person meetings each year.
The following CARLI committees and task force are seeking members:
* Archives Task Force
* Collection Management Committee
* Commercial Products Committee
* Discovery/Primo VE Committee
* E-Resources Management Committee
* Instruction Committee
* Open Educational Resources Committee
* Preservation Committee
* Public Services Committee
* Resource Sharing Committee
* Technical Services Committee
The CARLI staff will make appointments to be approved by the Senior Director and the Executive Committee of the CARLI Board of Directors no later than June 16, 2022.
Please send questions about CARLI committees/task forces or the process for selecting volunteers to CARLI support<mailto:support at carli.illinois.edu>.
