Hello,
I have a ticket today that concerns an "Ahead of Print" article in EBSCO. For more information on Ahead of Print/AoP articles in EBSCO, you can read this EBSCO article<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://connect.ebsco.com/s/article/What-is-an-Ahead-of-Print-article?language=en_US__;!!DZ3fjg!_L4gbNxQNdgqsCPSwANeMNfBMR4j7lDnsLdCnyUABW7-xx55ba0MEtnJGBHVT2jzBD1CrKq3_yfjgWmbOCfuVbtg8Blu4mK-$ >. After Ted and I discussed the best solution/workaround, he suggested we get the committee's opinion.
As it currently stands, this is a known issue with linking from Primo VE out to EBSCO for articles that are Ahead of Print. There is supposed to be a future feature release. For now, we are opting for a public display note for the portfolio in the NZ EBSCO collection. Further feedback about pros and cons of a note vs. a coverage statement (similar to an embargo statement) or some other alternative would be greatly appreciated in our March 14 meeting.
Thank in advance,
Marisa Tolbert
