[OERCommittee] Certificate in OER Librarianship - Proposal for CARLI Program Planning Committee

Hi OER Committee,

At September's OER Committee meeting, the group decided: "The Committee recommends that CARLI fund participants in the OEN Certificate in OER Librarianship program."

Also noted was that "CARLI Staff will confirm the financial end, and a draft will be run by the OER Committee, before sending it out to the CARLI Program Planning committee."

CARLI staff (Anne, Nicole, and Elizabeth) met with the CARLI fiscal person (Diane Day) and confirmed that funds are available to fund 5 participants (the same number that CARLI supported last year).

Attached is a proposal (if the draft is accepted) that would be sent on behalf of the OER Committee to the CARLI Program Planning Committee to fund five librarians* from CARLI Governing Members for the OEN Certificate in OER Librarianship Program. The draft uses much of the language from what the OER Task Force submitted last year to the Program Planning Committee.

As today's agenda for the committee meeting is full, please reply to this message if the attached is acceptable to you.
