Participation on these committees does not affect your institutions ability to apply for the grant.

CARLI is putting together two committees associated with the Illinois SCOERs project, the Advisory Committee and the Sub-Grant Review Committee. I write today to ask who from your organization would be willing to participate. I attach a document that outlines each committee's purpose and composition. Copied from this document is the following section that describes how the OER Committee might participate in each of these committees:

Advisory Committee

  *   Representatives from multiple individual CARLI member Institutions of Higher Education (librarians as well as teaching faculty/instructors)
     *   Two OER Committee members and/or CARLI member library staff who helped with compiling the sub-grant application plus one faculty from each of their home institutions (four total) TBD

Sub-Grant Review Committee

  *   Representatives from multiple individual CARLI member Institutions of Higher Education:
     *   OER Committee members and/or CARLI member library staff who helped with compiling the sub-grant application (two total) TBD


Please return to Michelle Haake at CARLI (mjhuls at uillinois.edu<mailto:mjhuls at uillinois.edu>) the name(s) and email(s) of the person(s) who would be willing to participate. Please note in your response which of the two committees for which you are responding. Sample response: "Jane Doe (CARLI OER Committee Member, email at MyInstitutionOfHigherEd.edu<mailto:email at MyInstitutionOfHigherEd.edu>) and Biology faculty member Malik Williams, email at MyInstitutionOfHigherEd.edu<mailto:email at MyInstitutionOfHigherEd.edu> would like to participate in the Advisory Committee."
