We are currently seeking candidates for one of our Liaison Librarian positions, full-time/tenure-track—this particular position gets to work with a really interesting mix of programs in applied art fields like architecture, interior design, fashion, and horticulture, as well as technical programs like welding, automotive, HVAC, fire science and aviation. COD Library has a history of strong relationships with these programs including instruction and engagement with collection development. Liaison assignments include reference, instruction, collection development, development of guides and instructional resources, outreach and engagement, and service on department and institutional committees.

Do most librarians have subject expertise in these areas? No. So this a perfect job for someone that likes to roll up their sleeves and learn new things, working with discipline faculty that are less familiar with research and how to incorporate library resources into their courses. This is one of nine liaison librarian positions at COD, so you’d be joining a team of faculty librarians in this work (11 FT in total), along with dozens of other Library staff and PT librarians that work in reference, circulation, resources sharing, technical services, media lab, and computer support and printing services. This is a 9-month position with the option for an additional summer contract. COD has great benefits, wonderful facilities, and many opportunities to contribute at the institutional level.
