Subject: [CARLIdc-ig] Digital Preservation Training Survey

 

CARLI's Digital Preservation Joint Subcommittee, composed of members
from the Digital Collections Users' Group and the Preservation Working
Group, is seeking to identify the level of interest among CARLI members
for a proposed train-the-trainer program on digital preservation. 

CARLI is considering sponsoring a "Train-the-Trainer" session as part of
the Library of Congress' Digital Preservation Outreach & Education
(DPOE) program <http://www.digitalpreservation.gov/education/> . A
training session would be offered at a central location in Illinois; the
session would last 1.5 to 2 days. Following the session, those attending
would become CARLI digital preservation resource experts and would be
expected to share their new knowledge with other CARLI members.
