The Illinois State Historical Records Advisory Board (ISHRAB) is hosting the online course "Grant Writing for Digitization and Preservation Projects" for 25 Illinois archivists and archival volunteers, presented by LYRASIS. This four hour course, taught over two 2-hour sessions, will be held on June 6 and 8 from 2-4pm.

The course covers the grant writing process from start to finish, including information on funding opportunities, proposal writing, the grant review process, grant administration and promotion of grant-funded projects. Persons or organizations who will be seeking a grant to fund a digitization project are encouraged to take this class.

ISHRAB and its representatives will award scholarships on a first-come, first-served basis until all 25 seats have been filled. The completed application form may be submitted by U.S. mail, FAX, or email. All decisions made by the ISHRAB and its representatives will be final.
