[ERMCommittee] Open Access Statistics

Hi Jennifer,

We don’t include any open access databases in ACRL or IPEDS. We just report numbers from TR_J1 reports. I have been asked about this in the past by another department, but gave a firm no. I believe you could try to get an idea of usage by looking at Alma Link Resolver stats in analytics. I haven’t played with this much, but taking a quick glance, it looks like there’s some out of the box reports available that might give you an idea, but it wouldn’t be very precise. You’d only be capturing people who went to an open database via Primo.

Curious to hear what others are doing.

Sara

Hello, Do any of you obtain statistics on usage of open access databases? If so, how do you go about that and do you report it in IPEDS? I am not even sure if it is possible but I thought since so many of them are added into Primo maybe there
