Thank you Stefanie. Here are some notes on the CARLI Announcements:


  *   The Board of Directors election will open the week of March 9. The committee volunteer period, during which CARLI collects applications for open committee positions, will also open the week of March 9.
  *   CARLI is hosting the first session of a joint webinar series with Orbis Cascade Alliance and PALCI on April 16 at 1:00 p.m. Central Time: Free Speech Needs Free Libraries: Censorship in Libraries and Academic Spaces<https://www.carli.illinois.edu/free-speech-needs-free-libraries-censorship-libraries-and-academic-spaces >. Presenters are Theresa Chmara, attorney and General Counsel of the Freedom to Read Foundation, and Dr. Emily Knox, Interim Dean and Professor in the School of Information Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. They will discuss the legal history of censorship, the current legal landscape, why people censor, and how to respond.
