Call for Public Comment and Endorsement: Statewide Support for the Creation and Adoption of OER

At their June 2022 meeting, the CARLI Board of Directors endorsed a statement<https://www.carli.illinois.edu/call-public-comment-and-endorsement-statewide-support-creation-and-adoption-oer> from the CARLI OER Committee to the Illinois College Course Materials Affordability and Equitable Access Collaborative Study Act and Task Force - "CCM Task Force<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.isac.org/e-library/research-policy-analysis/Task-Forces-Working-Groups/CCM-Task-Force/__;!!DZ3fjg!7exSBWzFyY7UknzGCthmWrZytJnmzHIOTQnCZ42HrPZ2ZCwfIyFEeAgB44h2FZmo6Xuj7iWNuU87v4bjWexITnPTYrMtMnU$ >." that encourages the CCM Task Force to consider Open Educational Resources as a focal point in their discussions.

The Board endorsement includes adding the statement<https://www.carli.illinois.edu/call-public-comment-and-endorsement-statewide-support-creation-and-adoption-oer> to the CARLI website and to allow CARLI Members to comment and institutional endorsement by CARLI Member Library Governing Directors.

CARLI members have until August 15 to provide public comments or institutional endorsements. Comments will be moderated and made public, unless deemed off-topic, offensive, or inappropriate.
